About Laura Sgro

Laura started out like most young girls dancing, but that soon turned into competitive acrobatics. Her love for fitness and athleticism led her to start her bodybuilding journey in her late teens and she competed until her mid 20s. Laura competed in the ANB (Australian Natural Bodybuilding) and IFBB (International Federation of Body Building) until she met Scott Hill around the competition circuit. Scott, a multiple time Australian Powerlifting and Pan-Pacific Natural Body Building Champion, saw something in her and proceeded to stoke the fire like a good coach should.

Fast forward a few years and Laura Sgro has now won countless titles both locally and internationally. Through hard work and dedication Laura has become the top female power lifter in the Under 60kg weight class in the Australia and is a force to be reckoned with on the international platform – after only 4 years. To date some of her achievements include:

  • 2 x Arnold’s Sports Festival, Pro Raw Power Lifting Wins
  • 1 x Kern US Open Win
  • GPC NSW State Winner (2018, 2017, 2015)
  • GPC Nationals Winner (2018, 2016)
  • GPC National Record Holder (500lb Squat)

Laura’s journey has been filled with ups and down like anyone’s fitness journey is, but she knows no one is going to do the work for her.
