Understanding Your Evolt 360 Body Scan Results

People generally don’t have an understanding of the components that make up their own body, let alone how to interpret what they need to know about it and apply it to their goals. We see it all the time with gym members and corporate customers alike.

We’ve decided that it’s time to give you the inside scoop on how we explain results for our clients so you can make an educated decision about how to tackle your goals, whether they be to win a challenge or just get healthier.

In the video below, Dave discusses interpreting your Evolt 360 Body Scan results and how you can use the information to your advantage for a challenge.

We’ve also summarised some key information below for you if you don’t have a spare 30 minutes!

The scan you have completed with us identified some key data that will help you on your journey. Use this information to your advantage and succeed faster.

Lean Body Mass

Lean Body Mass is everything in the body which is not body fat. This includes your organs, muscle mass, bones, water stored within you as well as anything in your digestive system.

Maintaining and increasing this is the key to improving your body composition.

You do this by consuming an adequate amount of protein in your diet and resistance training.

How much protein do you need?

This is calculated for you at the bottom of your scan in the “Your Nutrition” section.

Body Fat Mass

This is generally what people need to reduce for greater health outcomes as well as improved body composition.

The Body Fat Mass reading represents the remainder of your weight and over time you will see this reduce if you are following an appropriate training and dietary plan.

How do you reduce body fat?

Use the Evolt Active app which stores your scan data to set a goal for “Fat Loss” and it will calculate the appropriate amount of calories, including protein, carbohydrates and fats for you to eat on a daily basis.

Physical activity, a calorie deficit and incorporating an adequate amount of protein in your diet is a powerful combination when your goal is to reduce your Body Fat Mass measurement.

Total Energy Expenditure (TEE)

TEE is the amount of calories your body needs each day in order to maintain its current state.

TEE can be used as a reference point for setting calorie intake to lose, maintain or gain body mass as desired. You can do this in your Evolt Active App at any time.

This is different for every individual and the measurement provided in your scan results will vary between scans, however, should remain in a similar range unless you gained or lost a large amount of body weight.

Your Nutrition Recommendations

At the bottom of your scan you’ll see a section called “Your Nutrition. This is a personalised recommendation of the calories and macronutrients to consume in order to achieve the goal you currently have set in your Evolt Active Profile.

You can update this at any time in the Evolt Active App.

You can also enter these numbers into a calorie counting app such as My Fitness Pal and ensure you’re eating according to your goal each day.

Apps such as this help you to make informed choices with your food, build healthy habits, plan meals and treats as well as help keep you accountable.
